The story
In October 2022, I guided a group of curious travelers through Lebanon and Syria. Though more than five years had passed since the devastating civil war, its destruction remained starkly visible. The conflict had scarred nearly every region—only central Damascus and a handful of areas were spared—leaving deep wounds across the nation.
