Short description
This program emerged from my month-long exploration of Bangladesh. I've carefully chosen locations that showcase the country's authentic beauty. While Bangladesh may not have world-famous landmarks, the entire nation itself is one remarkable attraction. Travelers come here to experience the genuine character that still permeates most regions. Our journey begins with a flight to Dhaka, Bangladesh's capital, where we'll explore the unique river port—one of the world's largest—along with old Dhaka and its historic Hindu quarter.
In the Barisal region, we'll venture beyond the city limits, navigating numerous canals by boat, visiting fishing villages, and immersing ourselves in Bengal's extraordinary natural beauty. We'll spend a night on a private boat while touring regional attractions, including the Sundarbans—the world's largest mangrove forest and a UNESCO site. After returning to Dhaka, we'll travel by minibus to Srimangal, Bangladesh's tea capital.
In Srimangal, we'll explore vast tea plantations and visit villages of the Tripura, Garo, and Khasi tribes, witnessing a culture that has preserved its centuries-old traditions.
We'll visit a reserve (tropical forest) known for its Hoolock gibbon monkeys.
From Srimangal, we'll board the first-class Paharika Express to Chittagong. There, we'll explore the vibrant fish market, observe ships along the Karnaphuli River, and visit salt workshops and dried fish facilities, among other fascinating sites. We'll then fly back to Dhaka for our return flight to Sofia.
Accommodation includes 4 and 5-star hotels (with just one 3-star hotel). Transportation varies between bus, train, boats, ship, and airplane (domestic flight).
All photos and videos are from my visit to Bangladesh.

More about Bangladesh
Bangladesh is a captivating travel destination, especially for those who venture off the beaten path. With few tourists, it offers unique opportunities for adventurous travelers and photographers.
The country's greatest treasure is its people. During my month-long journey, I was consistently moved by their genuine warmth and curiosity. Their simple way of life and eagerness to connect with the outside world was truly inspiring. For photographers, their openness to being photographed was invaluable.
Visitors become instant celebrities wherever they go. Locals gather around with genuine curiosity—never hostility. Embracing these interactions leads to the most rewarding experiences.
While Bangladesh faces challenges common to developing nations—poverty, slums, and hardship—the resilience of its people, particularly the children, shines through. Even amid difficulties, joy prevails.
The crime rate in Bangladesh mirrors that of similar countries, mostly consisting of household and street crime. The modest levels of petty crime should not discourage visitors.
The country occasionally experiences "hartals"—strikes during elections or political events. These strikes can affect public transport, banks, and city services. However, they're typically announced ahead of time and can be avoided with careful planning.
