The Kamchia Biosphere Reserve, situated on the northern coastline of Bulgaria, used to be a UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve. It encompasses the floodplain at the mouth of the Kamchia River. The reserve primarily consists of alluvial longose groves, also known as the Longoz, and includes a portion of the Black Sea coastline.

Swimming in this area can be dangerous due to underwater currents and pits created by the river. Beachgoers should exercise caution, as the beautiful scenery can hide potential hazards. Visitors can enjoy the splendid floral scenery by taking a boat and spending leisure time on the beach.

Established in 1977, the Kamchia Biosphere Reserve was created to protect the primeval forest from extensive logging and drainage, which had significantly depleted it by the mid-20th century. It is located 25 kilometers south of the town of Varna and is bordered by the villages of Staro Oriahovo, Shkorpilovtsi, and Bliznatsi.
