The story
Visit the Lahore Fortress in Pakistan early in the morning to experience it without the crowds. The Badshahi Mosque, a part of the fort, is especially peaceful at this time. When we arrived, we were nearly alone in the courtyard. One man was sweeping the floor with a large broom, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The weather was perfect, with sunshine and cool, refreshing air. The interior of the mosque was simply stunning. I could have stayed there for hours.
I was greatly impressed by the vast space and its unique ambiance. After taking a few photos, I settled into a corner, relishing the silence, light, and spaciousness surrounding me.
The Badshahi Masjid, a notable example of Mughal architecture, dates back to the Mughal period. Its exterior boasts carved red sandstone and marble inlays. It is the largest mosque from the Mughal period and ranks as the second largest in Pakistan.
